Finally, we have the permits to begin the work for clearing land and building the site for TRR!
Earlier this summer, we received conditional approval, which required some additional documentation. After a busy summer, we finally have all documents submitted, drawings approved, and permits in hand to begin the work of building the TRR camp driveway and facilities.
We are so excited to start this next step as this has been 5 years in the making, but God is faithful and has provided each step of the way. We are confident He will continue to provide all the resources necessary to build TRR.
We have been busy this summer with prepping the property for the clearing and building work, putting up tree barricades around the protected grand trees and silt fencing around the project perimeter. We had some volunteers support us from upstate South Carolina, which was a huge blessing.
Next steps - we have a meeting Wednesday morning (9/13) with the contractor and the county inspector to do the final walk through of our silt fencing and project area. Then we can begin the process of clearing the land for the driveway and camp site location.
We will keep you all updated on the progress as clearing begins. Please continue to pray for TRR, for our ministry to foster families and children in foster care, for the work ahead - safety for those out here working and that the project progresses smoothly, and lastly, please pray that we would have all the necessary resources to continue with the building.
