The 2026 camp season is here! We are so excited to kick off our 2026 camp season. We had our first boys camp of the year on March 6-7, and it was a blast!
We had 8 campers for this camp, including two new overnight campers. We had 6 return campers, some of which we have not seen since last summer's day camp. It is always great to see new faces and to reunite with our regular campers!
We started the camp off with some ice breakers, a delicious dinner of tacos and rice from our friends at Fort Johnson Baptist Church, some basketball, and of course some nighttime rounds of Man Hunt (kind of like hide and seek). And of course, we enjoyed S'mores around the camp fire.

This was our second boys camp where we used our tent pads and individual tents. We had some boys who were a little aprehensive about being alone in their tents, but they overcame their fears and slept all night outside...and they all loved it!
We were all up bright and early Saturday morning. There is no "sleeping in" at camp. They were up with the sun and the sound of the roosters. We started the morning off with a delicious breakfast cooked outside. There is just something about breakfast cooked outside after a night of camping...it never disappoints!
After breakfast we held our morning devotion and prayer in the chapel, then we went on a long trail walk and walk up the driveway.

After our walk, we took a little field trip to Jeremiah Farm and Goat Dairy where we got to learn about the goat farming operation. We got to snuggle baby goats and even got to witness a goat giving birth! It was quite educational and we always love the opportunity to snuggle baby goats. The boys loved it. We want to thank Farmer Tim and Farmer Casey for hosting us and allowing us the opporunity to hang with the goats.

After returning to camp, we enjoyed lunch, playing more basketball and running through the woods, and then we made campfires and did some fire extinguisher training to teach the boys how to safely use a fire extinguisher. They loved the opportunity to build their own fires and to use the fire extinguisher.
We closed out camp with field games and petting the chickens and each boy helped take down their tents and pack them away for the next camp.
Our 2026 camp season is off to a great start and we are excited for our next camp! We want to thank Alex and Adrian for volunteering their time to help with this camp. They did a great job and the boys loved hanging out with them.
